Indoor plants are one the most versatile in the world. They are low-maintenance, don’t need much direct sunlight, and even live through the dry spells. And some of these indoor plants easily live for over 50 years, sometimes even 100! Here we mention some of them.

Monstera

Monstera is known for its shiny, glossy leaves, their large size, and the beautiful cut-out patterns in them. Although Monstera is a bit high-maintenance for an indoor plant, the efforts are totally worth it as it continues growing for over 50 years and produces beautiful leaves.

Snake plant

The snake plant is one of the most versatile and low-maintenance plants to exist. Some people also say that it is ‘impossible to kill’. And when maintained correctly, the Snake plant can easily continue growing for over 70 years.

Spider plant

The ZZ plant is famous for being extremely low-maintenance and continues to grow and thrive even when it is in bright, artificial light. The ZZ can live for about 5 years if not maintained well, but for more if cared for.

Pothos

The Pothos plant can also grow and thrive for over 50 years. It is the perfect trailing plant and the vines continue to produce nodes even when it is not potted in soil.

The String of pearls is another succulent that is known for its long life. The beautiful pearl-like leaves trail down from hanging baskets and look super aesthetically pleasing.
