BENGALURU: It’s not just a man’s world when it comes to gaming. The rise of
female gamers
and
creators
in India underscores a big shift in the
gaming
and
e-sports
landscape. A recent
report
by gaming fund Lumikai said 41% of
Indian gamers
are
women
. It surveyed 2,000 users and its data showed an increase in the number of gamers from
non-metro cities
.
“With more female gamers continuing to assert their place in this dynamic industry, they will inspire budding gamers and create an inclusive and welcoming space for players of all backgrounds to thrive,” said 23-year-old Payal Dhare aka PayalGaming, who has 3.4 million subscribers on Youtube.
