The Order of Precedence list

The order of precedence in India is an official listing that ranks high-profile officials and dignitaries according to their constitutional roles and protocol significance. This hierarchy is crucial for organizing state events, determining seating arrangements, and extending formal courtesies. While this precedence defines relative importance for ceremonial purposes, it doesn’t grant any legal authority or powers to those ranked higher. This list is periodically updated, and includes positions from the President down to various public officials. We all are aware that the President of India is considered the ‘First citizen of India’, but who is considered as the second citizen, or the third or for that matter the sixth citizen of India?
