Mantras for children
Sadhguru once said “Mantras could be an extremely good preparatory step. Just one mantra can do such tremendous things to people. They can be an effective force in creating something but only if they come from that kind of a source where there is a complete understanding of all that is sound.” And these lines are enough to educate and aware people about the power that mantras and chanting hold. The vibrations, the sounds, the repetitions, and of course, the positivity that surrounds the people who chant them are simply surreal. And what better than to start the practice of chanting at an early age?So, here we mention 6 mantras that parents must teach their children.

OM
The simple chant of OM is the first mantra that should be taught to young children. With two simple alphabets, and a chant that produces powerful, positive vibrations, the OM has in itself the essence of all universe. Teaching children how to chant and absorb the energies of OM helps them connect with the positivity that is all around, in the Universe, and helps them be at peace. In fact, even if the child cannot chant it themselves, parents should chant OM when they are around to keep them calm, and at peace.

Om Namah Shivaya
Another simple chant, ‘OM Namah Shivaya’ is for Lord Shiva, the God responsible for the transformation of the Universe. OM Namah Shivaya simply means ‘I bow down to Lord Shiva’, and when little children chant this, with their pure heart and intentions, Lord Shiva blesses them with health, wealth, and wisdom. Plus, as Lord Shiva is the destroyer of all evil, when children are aware of this mantra and chant it when they feel danger around them, it helps them be at ease and escape from tough situations.
