In a recent interview, he revealed that he was struggling financially even after doing a few films in the industry. After his movies started failing at the box office, the actor couldn’t even manage to pay his home rent.

, he struggled with household expenses, making him rethink his decision to live alone. “I moved into a house where I lived alone, but I was struggling a lot then. I didn’t have much money coming in, and my films were not working,” the actor shared, referencing his continued box office disappointments, including ‘Akaash Vaani’, ‘Kaanchi’, and ‘Guest in London’.

He recalled a time when he couldn’t afford the rent and considered getting roommates or sharing the space to manage expenses. “There was a point where I couldn’t pay the rent of this house. It was a very strange time because I was thinking of either bringing in some roommates or starting sharing with someone else,” he emphasized. This difficult period eventually turned around when he landed the film ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’, marking a breakthrough moment in his career. At this point, Kartik had already been in the film industry for seven years.
