Zakir Hussain’s FINAL Insta post goes viral; fans say 'Your skill and your work will be remembered for centuries'

Zakir Hussain’s family on Monday confirmed the news of his demise. The beloved artist who took

Indian classical music

to unimaginable heights is no more among us. His family confirmed that the renowned artist had been hospitalised for the last two weeks in the US. As his health condition deteriorated, he was sent to the ICU but couldn’t survive the complications arising out of

idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis

.
However, his music, his memories, his words, and every figment that holds any essence of the late artist is worth celebrating the life he had and the legacy he left. For instance, even his last Instagram post is live a work of music, a final tribute by the artist to Mother Nature.
The four-time

Grammy Award winner

shared a surreal video of scenic beauty in his last IG post. It captures a picturesque Chicago street where the autumn breeze adds to the charm of nature, while the changing colours of the tree define magic.
Touched by the beautiful sight, Zakir Hussain in his calm voice explained the scenic beauty. “Trees changing colours, gently swaying in the wind, so beautiful to watch. The movement is so graceful, so unbelievable. I wanna walk out here in Champaign, Illinois,” he said.

Padma Shri Zakir Hussain was born in Mumbai on March 9, 1951. He gained fame at a very young age owing to his artistry. Over a career span of six decades, he gave one after another gem to the music industry all around the world. He has so many national and international collaborations and accolades in his name.

It can be rightly said that his demise has left a void that cannot be filled. Recalling the musical maestro, singer Anup Jalota in his conversation with ETimes stated “His passing is a huge loss because the truth is, such a tabla player has never existed, nor will there ever be one. Playing the tabla in such an effective and interesting way, he made it so engaging.”
