BJP’s Shehzad Poonawalla slams Rahul Gandhi as ‘leader of propaganda, photography and panga’ after Haryana, Maharashtra losses

NEW DELHI: Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson

Shehzad Poonawalla

launched a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Sunday, labeling the Lok Sabha Opposition Leader as the ‘Leader of propaganda’, ‘Leader of photography’ and ‘Leader of panga’.
Poonawalla noted that the Congress party‘s recent electoral defeats in Haryana and Maharashtra had led to their current state of agitation, ANI news agency reported.
Poonawalla stated, “Congress’ frustration is at its peak after losing the assembly elections of Haryana and Maharashtra. Sometimes, Rahul Gandhi spreads lies becoming the LoP the ‘leader of propaganda’ and sometimes, the ‘leader of photography’ he used to come to parliament wearing a cap, bag, shirt, etc. and now becoming the leader of the panga, Rahul Gandhi has resorted to violence, has injured two BJP MPs, and violated the private space of BJP MP Nagaland, Phangnon Konyak.”
BSP leader Mayawati criticised both the BJP and Congress, describing them as “two sides of the same coin” and accused them of politicising Babasaheb Ambedkar‘s legacy.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah‘s comments about BR Ambedkar have sparked controversy, with opposition parties alleging disrespect towards Ambedkar, although Shah has rejected these accusations.
Shah’s remarks triggered simultaneous demonstrations by government and opposition members outside Parliament on Thursday morning, resulting in a confrontation that left two BJP MPs, Pratap Sarangi and Mukesh Rajput, injured.

BJP parliamentarians protested against the Congress party’s alleged disrespect towards Babasaheb Ambedkar, whilst INDIA Bloc MPs, led by Rahul Gandhi, demonstrated in the Parliament complex, demanding Shah’s resignation over his Ambedkar remarks.
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge claimed he was pushed by BJP MPs whilst attempting to enter Parliament during the confrontation between Congress and BJP members.
