01/6Getting the stains off your denim can be a nightmare
Holi is the festival of colors bringing joy and energy with tons of stains on your skin and clothes. The bright spots on your clothes often reflect that you indeed had a great time, but post-holiday tenure can be a tough spot with all the cleaning runs. People often wear denim to their Holi events as they are comfortable to wear, but at times the stains remain with you mocking your efforts to let them go. But, fear not as we have easy solutions to get the stains off your denim which may feel like a nightmare at times.
02/6Lemon Juice
The acidic nature of lemon helps remove the stain from the clothes. Denim usually soaks the stain in lemon juice in just 15 to 20 minutes after which as you will gently scrub the area with your hands, you will notice the change. But, carefully wash the Holi clothes separately as they can cause a stain in your other clothes as well.
03/6Use a bleach
If your clothes are in the shade of white, or they are denim, then simply soak them in lukewarm water with non-chlorine bleach powder or liquid. Simply wash and dry them separately and prevent the colors from leeching onto the other clothes.
04/6Window cleaners
This is a lesser-heard trick but it can make denim now more than ever. You just need to use a clear ammonia-based spray-on window cleaner on your denim and keep it on the spot for around 15-20 minutes. Now, blot the stain with a clean cloth and then rinse and wash it in a bucket of water and see the result.
05/6Vinegar
Another positive hack is adding a half cup of vinegar and one teaspoon of washing powder to 2-3 liters of cold water. The acid here does the trick and pulls the color from your denims making them new and fresh. You can do this to your other clothes as well which might have a fresh stain.
06/6Alcohol
This can be a little expensive run for you in which you need to rub some undiluted alcohol on the stain and then quickly rinse it thoroughly under cold running water. Now, wash your denims entirely and you will notice the stain fading out.
