AAP leader and Delhi Finance Minister Atishi criticized the BJP-led central government for allocating zero funds to Delhi in Budget 2024-25, despite the city contributing over 2 lakh 37 thousand crores in taxes. Atishi contrasted this with the “Kejriwal model,” highlighting Delhi’s provision of free electricity, water, education, and health services at a cost of 40,000 crores in taxes. She challenged the BJP to demonstrate any significant contributions made to Delhi over the past 11 years, asserting that the latest budget underscores BJP’s lack of initiative despite its financial and administrative authority.
