Abhishek Banerjee says Ethics committee has many pending cases but panel only goes after those who oppose government

Trinamool Congress (TMC) National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee asserted that Mahua Moitra, a party colleague accused in a cash-for-query scandal, is fully capable of defending herself. He raised concerns about the Lok Sabha Ethics Committee’s draft report, which suggested expelling Moitra despite finding no evidence against her. Banerjee made these remarks following his appearance at the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) office in Kolkata related to the West Bengal teachers’ issue.
