Actors set to make their debut down south in 2024

In 2024, the landscape of South Indian cinema is set to witness an exciting shift as Bollywood actors prepare to embark on their debut journeys. This crossover promises to bring fresh talent, diverse storytelling, and heightened anticipation to audiences across the southern states. From Bobby Deol, Janhvi Kapoor to Saif Ali Khan; here’s taking a look at FIVE Bollywood actors all set to make their south debut this year.

After making her presence felt in the recently released, ‘Kalki 2898 AD”, Disha Patani will also be seen in Suriya’s historical epic ‘Kanguva,’ marking her first collaboration with the actor. The film also stars Bobby Deol, Natarajan Subramaniam, Jagapathi Babu, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala, Anandaraj, Ravi Raghavendra, KS Ravikumar and BS Avinash.

Saif Ali Khan’s 53rd birthday last year marked the unveiling of his first look poster from the upcoming film ‘Devara,’ directed by Koratala Siva. Co-starring Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor, the movie is scheduled for theatrical release on April 5, 2024.

Janhvi Kapoor’s venture into Telugu cinema alongside Jr NTR in ‘Devara’ has garnered attention, marking her debut in Tollywood. She has also been chosen as the lead heroine for Ram Charan’s RC16.

The actress expressed regret for not learning Telugu but praised the ‘Devara’ team for their patience and assistance with her lines, stating, “I never learned Telugu and it is something I am ashamed of. I can understand it phonetically, but I can’t speak it. Yes, it is one of my biggest regrets. This part of me had been dormant for a while. But the Devara team is very patient and helpful. They are working with such stalwarts and I am so grateful they are just a call away to help me with my lines.”

Bobby Deol’s foray into South Indian cinema begins with ‘Hari Hara Veera Mallu,’ where he stars alongside Pawan Kalyan. Following this, he takes on the role of the main villain in Suriya’s ‘Kanguva,’ recently unveiled by the film’s team with his distinctive first look featuring antlers and long hair.

Shanaya Kapoor, daughter of Sanjay Kapoor, is set to make her debut in South Indian cinema with the film ‘Vrushabha,’ starring alongside Mohanlal. Produced by Ekta Kapoor, the movie features her in a pivotal role opposite Roshann Meka. It is slated for a pan-Indian release and also stars Garuda Ram, Simran, and Srikanth. Primarily shot in Telugu and Malayalam, ‘Vrushabha’ is anticipated as a significant South Indian film with wide-reaching appeal.
