Hits and flops are a part of every star’s
Bollywood journey
. Even the biggest of actors have seen a low phase, but owing to their dedication and resilience, they never showed their back to the tough times. Recently, at the trailer launch of ‘
Bade Miyan Chote Miyan
,’ Khiladi Kumar aka
Akshay Kumar
also spoke about the time when he faced
back-to-back flops
, yet he decided not to give up.
In the recent past, his movie ‘Selfiee’ and ‘
Mission Raniganj
’ didn’t receive the kind of response that the actor was expecting. Talking about the same he said that as an actor he puts in all his efforts in his every film, but when it comes to
box office success
, it is something which no one can predict or control.
“We keep on trying for every type of film. I don’t stick to one kind of genre. I keep on jumping from one genre to another, whether there is success or no success, that’s how I have always worked. I’ll keep on doing it, something that is social, something that is good, something in comedy, in action,” stated the ‘Mission Mangal’ actor.
He also mentioned that he enjoys doing different kinds of films. It doesn’t really matter what people say; for instance, even if people say only comedy or action work, doesn’t mean that the actor will only put his efforts into these two genres. Doing similar sort of work brings boredom to him, and thus, we would keep doing different things. Sometimes his movies will work, and sometimes they will not, but it would not change the way he operates.
Last but not least, recalling the time when he had 16 consecutive flops, the actor highlighted that even back then he didn’t comprise his style of work. He mentioned, “It is not that I have not seen (this phase before), there was a time when I had 16 consecutive flops in my career. But I stood there and kept on working and I’ll still do that.”
