, the daughter of Salman Khan‘s sister
, is all set to make her grand debut in the upcoming movie ‘Farrey’ which has been directed by
known for Born to Run and Jamtara 2.
In an interaction with indianexpress.com, Alizeh spoke about staying away from the limelight, having no PR machinery to invite the media outside her gym or at the airport.
is not the young girl one would expect a star kid to be like. Her choice to do Farrey as her debut is also her decision. She said that it was her personal choice to do something “unexpected” and focus on content in her first film because that’s what the audiences are looking at right now.

She said that it was her personal choice. In a film industry which is changing every day, it is so unpredictable of her to do something like this. So she is very glad Farrey happened because it really fascinated her. She thought it was a different way to make a debut. Thanks to the family she came from, people are saying that she is making a big debut, but she likes being a small part of this film with a lot of good actors. She says it was a great learning experience. It is a film that is based in a school, so it felt like she was going to school where she was being trained for acting. Even if it is a commercial film, she wanted her role to be interesting. So she is glad that she could actually go ahead with it.
Does she feel the pressure of belonging to a film family and being Salman Khan’s niece? “Yes, of course,” she quips, adding that there is a lot of pressure. It is a very stressful situation, especially now that they have started promoting the film, until then she didn’t feel this pressure.
Alizeh added that she feels even more pressure when it comes to handling the paps. She is not a star’s daughter, so they (paps) won’t come on their own, she would need to call them, she revealed. She said she’d rather do that when she has something to show and speak for herself. Now, she wants to promote her movie, she wants people to go and watch the movie. “We are very close and we all get along very well,” shares Alizeh. Everyone in the family has made it on their own, from her grandfather (
) to her uncles (Salman, Arbaaz, Sohail Khan), every one of them has found their niche and she knows they would want the same for her. They have given her a lot of freedom and she is really glad that she got a lot of time before she joined this world.
Alizeh confessed that being under the public eye makes her nervous. She is a very private person, so she is not comfortable being recorded all the time. “We are promoting the film right now so we all are looking good. But on a normal day, you look normal, but actors are expected to look good every day,” she said.
Explaining why she’s not comfortable being papped in her daily life, Alizeh said that she didn’t know how people look so good walking out of a gym. She wears whatever she feels comfortable in. She can be on set for hours, do photoshoots for as long as she has to, but when paparazzi comes, she doesn’t know what happens, because there is no control. Alizeh is still getting used to that and says that she is very awkward.
