was arrested in Chhattisgarh by Mumbai’s Special Investigation Team (SIT) due to his alleged involvement in the Rs 15,000 crore Mahadev betting app case. This happened after the Bombay High Court denied his anticipatory bail on April 24. Reportedly, he’s now in police custody until May 1st. A senior crime branch officer confirmed to TOI, ‘He had been promoting the app through social media and had also forged some documents.

. Sahil Khan was among those accused in the FIR, which was then transferred to the Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) for investigation. Bankar claimed to have found these betting apps on social media and estimated the scam’s size to be around Rs 15,000 crore. According to reports, Khan’s name featured in the list of suspects involved in the betting app. He was asked to appear before the city crime branch office to record his statement. He had been reportedly dodging the cops and was ultimately nabbed from a hotel in Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh.
