APPSC Group 2 Prelims Result 2024 OUT: What’s Next? Check Selection Procedure Here

NEW DELHI: The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission has announced the results of APPSC Group 2 preliminary screening test 2024. Candidates who appeared for the examination can check their results on the official website of the commission at psc.ap.gov.in.
The results have been published in PDF format, containing the roll numbers of the candidates who have successfully qualified for further stages of the selection process.

The mains exam is scheduled to be conducted on July 28, 2024.

How Many Candidates Qualified in Prelims Exam?

According to APPSC, a total of 92,250 candidates have successfully cleared the eligibility criteria to proceed to the Group-2 services mains examination 2024.
Alongside the qualified candidates’ list, the commission had also released a list of candidates whose answer sheets were rejected due to various reasons, including tampering, multiple booklet series encoding, and absence of booklet series encoding in the OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) sheets.

This announcement marks an important step in the recruitment process conducted by the APPSC, providing clarity to candidates about their performance and eligibility for the Group 2 examinations. APPSC Group 2 Selection Process

The APPSC Group 2 Selection Process consists of three stages which are as follows;

Screening Test (Prelims): This is the first hurdle, meant to shortlist candidates for the next stage. It’s an objective exam typically for 150 marks.
Mains Exam: Those who clear the screening test proceed to the Mains exam. This is a more comprehensive written test, generally for 300 marks, assessing a candidate’s knowledge and aptitude for the specific posts.
Computer Proficiency Test (CPT): This stage evaluates a candidate’s basic computer skills. It’s a qualifying test, with a minimum mark requirement varying based on category (SC/ST/PH, BC, OC). The test duration and maximum marks are typically 60 minutes and 50 marks, respectively.
As per the APPSC Group 2 notification no.11/2023, this recruitment drive is being conducted to fill up a total of 905 vacancies for various executive and non-executive posts.
