Arjun Kapoor attends the last rites of Anil Mehta

Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor arrived in Mumbai on September 12, 2024, to attend the last rites of Malaika Arora‘s father, Anil Mehta, who tragically passed away on September 11. Arjun was seen arriving at the funeral ceremony to support her during this difficult time. The actor’s presence at the solemn event reflected his close bond with Malaika and her family, particularly as they navigate this period of grief.
Anil Mehta’s death has left the Arora family in deep mourning.

He reportedly died by suicide, leaving the family shocked and heartbroken. According to reports, he jumped from the balcony of the 6th floor, an incident confirmed by Mumbai Police. Arjun, who has often spoken about his close relationship with Malaika and her loved ones, immediately rushed to be by her side after hearing the tragic news. He was also seen comforting and escorting Malaika to her car as she was unconsolable amid the challenging times.

Throughout the day, many well-wishers, including family and friends from the film industry, visited the Arora family to offer condolences. Malaika’s ex-husband Arbaaz was the first one to arrive to support the family, as at the time of the incident the actress was not in the city. Further, Salim Khan, Sohail Khan, Kareen Kapoor Khan, and many other notable figures maintained a low profile as they arrived to be with the family. Today for the rites as well, celebs avoided interactions with the press out of respect for the family’s privacy during their time of mourning.

The last rites ceremony is being attended by close family members and friends, with Malaika’s sister, Amrita Arora, also present to pay her respects. Other close acquaintances from the film industry have joined in to offer their support to the grieving family.
