In response to a controversial cartoon depicting Indian crew members aboard the ill-fated ‘DALI’ container ship, which crashed into the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, causing its collapse, netizens condemned the cartoon as ‘racist’. Some individuals also noted that the ship was likely under the control of a local American. The cartoon, created by Foxford Comics, a US-based web comic known for its politically incorrect content, portrayed the Indian crew members in ‘brownface attire’, situated in the ship’s control room amidst murky water. They were depicted wearing only loin cloths and appeared shocked as the vessel approached and collided with the bridge.
