Late last night,

Boney Kapoor

took to his IG handle to share a throwback pic from the sets of

Mr. India

featuring himself, his late wife Sridevi, brother

Anil Kapoor

and few other members from the crew. In the monochrome pic, while the men are dressed formally (shirts with trousers), Sridevi sports one of the many iconic dresses she wears in the movie.

He captioned the pic, “January 5th, 1985 Just before first-day shoot, Mr. India.” Take a look….

As soon as he posted the pic, fans went ballistic in the comments section and demanded a sequel! One user wrote, “My fav childhood film. Part 2 is needed. Anil Kapoor ji and Ranveer Singh as a villain.” Another one commented, “The winning team of India’s best children’s film.” The third added, “Mr. India 2 plz sir.” Another fan wrote, “Anil still looks the same.”

A netizen also commented on Sridevi and Boney’s future love story and said, “It’s crazy to think that 2 people in this picture had no idea that they would fall in love and make history and add to the legacy of a

historic family

.”

Did you know Sridevi once approached Amar Singh Chamkila with a film offer? Here’s why he turned her offer

Produced jointly by Boney Kapoor and Surinder Kapoor under the Narsimha Enterprises banner, Mr. India is a celebrated superhero film directed by Shekhar Kapur. The film features a story and screenplay crafted by the legendary Salim-Javed, marking their final collaboration before their well-known split. The soundtrack, composed by Laxmikant-Pyarelal, contributed significantly to the film’s success, which became the second highest-grossing film of 1987.
