The

Chhattisgarh Police

announced the final results for the Subedar/Sub Inspector/Platoon Commander

recruitment examination

of 2021 on Monday. Candidates who took part in this recruitment can access their results on the official website,

cgpolice.gov.in

.
Out of the 975 advertised positions, 959 candidates have been recommended for appointment. According to the Chhattisgarh Police, the remaining vacancies remain unfilled due to a lack of eligible candidates. The final

merit list

was compiled based on candidates’ scores, their stated preferences, and the reservation policies established by the Chhattisgarh government.
The Police Department clarified that candidates from reserved categories (OBC-Non Creamy Layer, SC, ST) who met eligibility criteria for unreserved category positions and qualified through all stages, including the preliminary and main exams, were considered for unreserved vacancies. However, if a reserved category candidate qualified for an unreserved position but the specified service preference was unavailable in the unreserved category, they were allocated a post within their reserved category.
The appointment of successful candidates is subject to the final decision of the Supreme Court in Special Leave Petition (SLP) (C) no. 19668/2022, as noted by the Chhattisgarh Police.
