Special judge Narendra Kumar dropped charges against Jiradei MLA Amarjeet Kushwaha and Darauli legislator Satyadev Ram, as well as the other eight identified accused.
According to police, the murders took place at Chilhamarwa village in the district during a clash between villagers and CPI(ML) workers over a land dispute on July 6, 2013. “During the incident, both the groups fired several rounds, and hurled bombs in the presence of police and administration officials,” a police officer said. “Mukesh Kumar Singh, a resident of Sohagra village, and Rajnarayan Singh alias Raju Singh from Belaur village were killed and several other persons were injured.”
