Air quality in several parts of Delhi reeled under the ‘severe’ category on November 03. Drone footage from the Akshardham area showed a thick layer of smog. Delhi government on Nov 02 ordered for all government and private primary schools to remain shut for the next two days. State govt also ordered that there shall be restrictions on allowing BS III petrol and BS IV diesel cars running in Delhi. In the wake of the worsening air quality, Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) invoked the third stage of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) on Nov 02.
