Kabir Khan, the director of ‘Ek Tha Tiger,’ has made a significant revelation about Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s past relationship. Over 11 years since its release, the ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ director has opened up about the challenges he faced in casting Salman and Katrina together for a film immediately after the duo had parted ways. In a promo for casting director Mukesh Chhabra’s upcoming talk show, Kabir revealed that the makers had already signed Katrina for the role of Zoya before approaching Salman. The filmmaker mentioned that the casting occurred at a time when the two ‘were not very comfortable’ with each other. He added, ‘Katrina had already been signed. She was Zoya. And then we went to Salman. This was the stage where they had broken up, and they weren’t that comfortable.’ Salman and Katrina’s relationship was once the talk of the town, capturing widespread attention and discussion. In 2011, during an interview with a magazine, Katrina disclosed that Salman was her first serious relationship. The magazine quoted Katrina as saying, ‘Salman Khan is my first serious relationship.’ ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ is the first installment of the Tiger franchise, succeeded by ‘Tiger Zinda Hai,’ which hit the screens in 2017. In 2023, Salman and Katrina reunited for ‘Tiger 3,’ directed by Maneesh Sharma.
