Veteran actor Govind Namdev, who has worked with both the late Rishi Kapoor and his son Ranbir Kapoor, recently shared his thoughts on the differences between the two.

Govind and Rishi Kapoor collaborated on

Prem Granth

(1996), directed by Rajiv Kapoor. The film featured a star-studded cast, including Shammi Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Anupam Kher, Om Puri, Prem Chopra, Reema Lagoo, and Himani Shivpuri. A few years later, they worked together again in Raju Chacha (2000), an action-comedy film directed by Anil Devgan, starring Kajol and Johnny Lever.

Throughout his career, Govind has delivered remarkable performances in numerous films such as Saudagar (1991), Shola Aur Shabnam (1992), Virasat (1997), Satya (1998), Sarfarosh and Thakshak (1999), Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani and Pukar (2000), Lajja (2001), Qayamat (2003), and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (2022). More recently, he featured in OMG 2 and Sam Bahadur (2023).

On the other hand, Ranbir Kapoor was last seen in Animal alongside Triptii Dimri and Rashmika Mandanna. The actor is set to appear in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love And War, co-starring Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. Additionally, he will portray Lord Ram in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana Part One, slated for release in 2026. The film stars Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, and Sunny Deol as Hanuman.
