Hamas recently made a shocking revelation regarding the Israel-Hamas truce deal, citing significant disagreements during negotiations for a Gaza truce. Talks on a truce and potential exchange of hostages and inmates persisted in Doha this week. Senior Hamas official Sami Abu Zuhri blamed Israel for the truce talks’ failure, revealing a “bridging proposal” by the United States. The proposal entailed releasing jailed Palestinians in exchange for Hamas freeing hostages in a new Gaza truce, with Israel suspending its offensive for six weeks if a deal was reached.
