In a comparative analysis of placements between IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Kozhikode for the two-year PG programme across the academic years 2020-21 to 2022-23, IIM Ahmedabad consistently reported higher median salaries. In 2020-21, IIM Ahmedabad placed all 429 graduates with a median salary of ₹27.6 lakh, while IIM Kozhikode placed 459 out of 471 graduates with a median salary of ₹20 lakh.
In 2021-22, IIM Ahmedabad placed 431 out of 432 graduates with a median salary of ₹30 lakh, compared to IIM Kozhikode’s placement of 546 out of 548 graduates with a median salary of ₹26.5 lakh. For 2022-23, IIM Ahmedabad placed 423 out of 435 graduates with a median salary of ₹31 lakh, whereas IIM Kozhikode placed all 559 of its graduates with a median salary of ₹27 lakh.
Additionally, IIM Ahmedabad saw a slight increase in students opting for higher studies in 2022-23, with 12 students, compared to IIM Kozhikode’s more consistent figures. Overall, IIM Ahmedabad takes the lead in terms of median salary, although IIM Kozhikode demonstrated a higher total number of placements.
