The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has officially announced the dates for the JoSAA 2024 counselling process today, June 5 2024. The councilling will begin on June 10, 2024, on the official JoSAA website ( Candidates who have successfully cleared the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2024 and JEE Advanced 2024 will be eligible to participate in the counselling process to secure admission to various prestigious institutions including the National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
Key Dates for JoSAA 2024
The JoSAA 2024 counselling process will be conducted in several stages, starting with registration and choice filling.

Here are the important dates to remember:

Online reporting, including fee payment, document upload, and response to queries (if required) for Round 1. June 20-25, 2024

Counselling Process
The JoSAA 2024 counselling process involves multiple steps to ensure that candidates secure their desired courses and institutions based on their JEE ranks and preferences. The process includes:
Registration and Choice Filling: Candidates must first register on the JoSAA portal and fill in their preferred choices of colleges and courses. It’s crucial to arrange the choices in the order of preference.

Mock Seat Allotment: To help candidates understand the allocation process, JoSAA will release two mock allotments on June 15 and June 17. These mock allotments give candidates a preliminary idea of their potential seat allocation based on their current choices.
Seat Allotment: The actual seat allotment will be conducted in multiple rounds. The first round of seat allotment will be announced on June 20, followed by several rounds of online reporting where candidates must confirm their seats by paying the required fees and uploading necessary documents.
Online Reporting: Candidates allotted seats in any round must respond within the specified timeframe. This includes payment of fees, document verification, and responding to any queries raised by the authorities.
The JEE Advanced 2024 results will be declared on June 9, 2024, a day before the commencement of JoSAA counselling registration. The JEE Main 2024 results were already announced on April 24, with 56 candidates securing a perfect NTA score.
