‘The Fantastic Four‘ cast just got a lot bigger with Emmy Award-winning actress

joining the film as The Silver Surfer.
The highly anticipated Marvel Studios’ production, will feature Garner reportedly in a significant role of
Shalla-Bal
, who is slated to become the iconic Silver Surfer. The character who first appeared in Marvel Comics’ ‘Silver Surfer #1’, and holds a pivotal role in the comics as the first wife of Norrin Radd, also known as the Silver Surfer.
Garner joins the previously announced cast, which includes Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards aka Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm or Invisible Woman, Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s Ben Grimm as The Thing, and Joseph Quinn as Jonny Storm aka Human Torch.
The Silver Surfer, a beloved character in the Marvel universe, was last portrayed on-screen by Doug Jones in the 2007 film ‘Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer’, with Laurence Fishburne lending his voice to the character.
Directed by Matt Shakman, known for his work on ‘WandaVision’, the upcoming feature is set to be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase 6.
Scheduled for release on July 25, 2025, production for ‘The Fantastic Four’ is slated to commence this summer.
