Actress Kangana Ranaut recently hosted a special screening of her film ‘Tejas’ for the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanth, at the Lok Bhawan Auditorium in Lucknow. Post-screening, the ‘Queen’ actress revealed that CM Yogi got emotional while watching the film. In an interview with ANI, the actress said, ‘CM Yogi Adityanath got emotional while watching the movie. He has assured us that he will support us and motivate the nationalists to connect with the film.’ She added, ‘It is not a film on women empowerment but about women’s power…’ Earlier, taking to her Instagram account, Kangana also shared a few pictures from the special screening. While one photo featured Kangana sitting with CM and other team members in an auditorium, other snaps showed the politician gifting the actress a token of appreciation. Sharing the post, Kangana penned a note that read, ‘Today hosted a screening of #tejas, a film based on a soldier / Martyr’s life for honourable Chief Ministers @myogi_adityanath ji and @pushkarsinghdhami.uk ji.’ She added, ‘As you can see in the first picture, Maharaj ji couldn’t hold back his tears in the last monologue of Tejas – ‘Ek soldier kya chahta hai.’ Kangana concluded the note by sharing, ‘Maharaj ji became so emotional seeing the courage, bravery, and sacrifice of our soldiers that their eyes were overflowing. Thank you, Maharaj ji, we are blessed to have your praise and blessings.’ Speaking about the film, ‘Tejas’ is a patriotic movie about women serving in the Indian Air Force as fighter pilots since 2016.
