The Bollywood quotient in

politics

seems to be on the rise. Amidst reports about Govinda returning to politics, Kangana Ranaut has secured the

Lok Sabha

ticket from

Mandi

.
The actress, who has desired to join politics for a long time, has finally gained entry. Apart from her,

Arun Govil

, who is known for playing Lord Ram’s character on TV, will now contest from Western UP.

Ravi Kishan

,

Shatrughan Sinha

, Dinesh Yadav, and

Manoj Tiwari

have already been given tickets.

Ramanand Sagar’s son, Prem Sagar, expressed his joy over Arun Govil’s decision to contest the election, telling ETimes, “I am the happiest man. He not only deserves it, but he will also contribute significantly to Sanatan Dharma and culture. His portrayal of Lord Ram will be a key factor. Ram Lalla is in the news today, and I think it’s a great move by the BJP. Arun is a very good person. He speaks eloquently and is a fine human being. He will make a valuable addition to the Lok Sabha.”

Actor Sunil Lahiri, who played the role of Lakshman in Ramayan added, “I am really very happy for him. I feel like someone in my family got this opportunity to serve the nation. I wish him good luck and congratulations. His efforts have paid off. If he has been given an opportunity, I am sure he will do justice because somewhere deep inside Lord Ram is there inside him.”
Earlier, speaking to TV9 Bharatvarsh, Kangana said that she has literally fought from film sets with political parties, adding that she does not need a seat to do what she wants to do for the country.

She highlighted her diverse portrayal of characters representing various regions of India in her roles. From depicting characters from the South in movies like ‘Thalaivii’ and ‘Chandramukhi 2,’ to playing Delhi girls in ‘Queen’ and ‘Tanu Weds Manu,’ and embodying women from Haryana in ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns.’ Additionally, in her directorial debut ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi,’ she portrayed the courageous freedom fighter Rani Lakshmibai.

Kangana’s presence at the consecration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya further fueled speculation regarding her possible entry into politics. Last year, when asked about contesting in the next Lok Sabha elections, she replied, “If Lord Krishna showers blessings, I will fight.”
