NEW DELHI:
Congress
on Monday released its
sixth list
of contenders for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, spotlighting Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu.
The party declared nominees for five seats, with four hailing from Rajasthan and one from Tamil Nadu. Among them is former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) member Prahlad Gunjal, who recently joined Congress and will contest from Kota, where he’ll vie against BJP’s Om Birla.
Additionally, Ramchandra Choudhary and Sudarshan Rawat are slated to compete from Ajmer and Rajsamand constituencies respectively.
In Rajasthan’s Bhilwara, Dr. Damodar Gurjar emerges as Congress’s candidate. For Tamil Nadu’s Tirunelveli, Congress put forward Adv. C. Robert Bruce for the imminent polls.
Meanwhile, Dr. Tharahai Cuthbert has been listed as candidate for the bye-election to TN’s Vilavancode constituency.
