Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla appeared together on Koffee with Karan and shared why they chose to marry people who are not from the film industry. Madhuri has been married to Dr. Shriram Nene since 1999, while Juhi tied the knot with businessman Jay Mehta in 1995.
Karan Johar Brings Up Their Co-Stars
Madhuri and Juhi were on Koffee with Karan in 2014 when Karan Johar mentioned that although both had worked with many top actors, they didn’t end up marrying anyone from the film industry.
Madhuri Calls Her Husband Her ‘Hero’
Madhuri shared that she had worked with big stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan, but didn’t feel strongly enough about anyone to consider marriage. She said her husband is her real hero. When Karan joked that she didn’t give anyone else a chance, she laughed and agreed.
Juhi Felt Pampered by Jay Mehta
Juhi revealed that Jay won her over by sending flowers, cards, and gifts. She felt truly pampered by his efforts. While she admired the heroes she worked with, she believed she wouldn’t have been comfortable with a partner who spent as much time in front of the mirror as she might.
The Ishq’ actress added that as actors, they are already very self-focused, and she couldn’t see herself marrying someone with a similar personality. She was sure from the beginning that she wanted a different kind of partner.
Juhi has played leading roles in films such as Lootere, Aaina, Darr, Ram Jaane, Deewana Mastana, Yes Boss, Ishq, and Arjun Pandit. She was last seen in Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga. Madhuri will soon be seen in the Netflix series Finding Anamika.
