Mahesh on romantic scenes with Sridevi: ‘Everyone was intimidated’

Sridevi

continues to remain in the hearts of her fans and all her co-stars and there’s doesn’t seem anyone who can ever replace her! While she left everyone lured with her presence and million-dollar smile, did you know that many of her co-stars were intimidated by her? In a recent interview, Sridevi’s co-star from her show ‘

Malini Iyer

‘ revealed some interested details about his experience with the actress.

‘Malini Iyer’ was a show which aired in 2004 on television. Thakur said during a chat with Siddharth Kannan that she will always live in his heart and she was the kindest artiste he ever worked with! “Because of her celebrity status, nobody used to go near her. If she is sitting on a chair, people will be six to seven feet away from her. Nobody used to walk close. Everybody felt intimidated,” said Thakur.
But on the first day of shoot itself, Thakur who played her husband, had a suhaagraat scene with her. “When I first met Sridevi, she was a very humble soul and on the first day, I had a suhaagraat scene with her. We rehearsed and read lines together,” said the actor.
Earlier in an interview with Indian Express, Thakur had opened up on doing

romantic scenes

with Sridevi. “Since we had a lot of romantic scenes, we really gelled up well. Also with Satish ji at the helm, it was stressful for any actor to be performing there. But, I think the sense of comfort that Sridevi brought with her… it made things really easy. I remember Prabhudeva had been signed to shoot some initial dance scenes and he too was in awe of her. While we were petrified, she was as welcoming as ever.”
‘Malini Iyer’ was produced by

Boney Kapoor

and was directed by

Satish Kaushik
