Microsoft’s “New Era of Work” scheduled for March 21 at 9:00 am PDT (10:30 pm IST).

The event promises announcements regarding new features for Windows 11, developments in Microsoft Copilot – the company’s AI chatbot and updates to the Surface lineup. The announcement was made on a web page titled “Advancing the new era of work with Copilot.”
“Tune in here for the latest in scaling AI in your environment with Copilot, Windows, and Surface,” the web page states. Microsoft usually live streams its events, and it may not be different this time. While Microsoft hasn’t released any information in this regard, we’ll update the article once there is an official word.

Satya Nadella on how AI PCs will change tech interaction

Recently, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said that AI will have the broadest potential impact, requiring a fundamental rethinking of the tech stack. While speaking with HP CEO Enrique Lores at the HP Amplify Partner Conference in Las Vegas this week, Nadella highlighted the transformative nature of AI.

Nadella discussed the transformative impact of technology, particularly computers and AI. He emphasised the potential to reimagine personal computing and reshape user interactions. Microsoft’s approach involves viewing PCs as “Copilot PCs,” leveraging AI to empower users and enhance productivity.
While acknowledging benefits, he emphasised considering potential consequences of the technology. A mature social dialogue is essential for AI’s responsible development and deployment, he noted.
