Mood of people turning against PM Modi: Sharad Pawar

NEW DELHI:

Sharad Pawar

on Tuesday claimed that the ‘mood’ of the country has turned against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The

NCP

(SCP) chief also attacked the

Central government

for attacking the institutions of the country and not taking ‘national interests seriously.’
“I can see clearly that the

mood of people

has changed. It is now against

PM Modi

,” Pawar said at a press conference.

“In the present regime, institutions are being attacked,” he added.
Pawar also stated that there has been ‘no thinking yet’ regarding the prime ministerial candidate for the INDIA bloc, and when questioned about INDIA bloc’s final seat sharing in the Lok Sabha elections, he replied, “I am not an astrologer.”
Attacking PM Modi on the Katchatheevu Island issue, Pawar alleged that the prime minister ‘focuses on small things’ and that he remained silent on China taking ‘thousands of square kilometers of Indian territory.’

“On one hand, PM Modi attacked Indira Gandhi who is not alive today and on the other hand, he did not say anything about the thousands of square kilometres of our land that China took, he ignores it and focuses on small things, he does not take the responsibility of looking after national interest seriously,” said Pawar.
