NEW DELHI: The
new Parliament
building is all ready to hold its first session next week with several changes, including new uniform for personnel deployed in both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.
Those involved in legislative work will get cream-coloured jackets, cream shirts with pink lotus printed on them and
khaki trousers
. The uniform will be the same for the staff of both Houses, reports Dipak Dash.
The new uniforms have been handed over to all the 271 staff, including chamber attendants and those deployed for verbatim reporting service, officials said. They added that security officers from the
Parliament Security Service
(Operations) deployed will don army camouflage fatigues instead of the blue safari suit.
The designs have been created by the
National Institute of Fashion Technology
