In a recent interview with a YouTube channel, Mashable India, Nora mentioned that she arrived in India with only Rs 5,000 in her pocket and had no idea what $1,000 was like.

She recounted the days of living with nine other people in a three-bedroom apartment, where she had to share a room with two other girls. She expressed her worry about the situation and still feels traumatized by it.

The actress went on to discuss how agencies “exploited” her, paying her very little and deducting a significant portion of her salary. There were days when she could only afford to eat one egg and bread. She needed therapy to cope with such challenging times. Amidst these struggles, Nora lamented the lack of laws to protect individuals from exploitation by agencies.
