There were reports that Tamil filmmaker
Pa Ranjith
will be making his Hindi debut with
Ranveer Singh
and the story could be about
Birsa Munda
, a brave tribal leader who fought against British rule in the 1800s. It was reported that
Ranjith
has been working on this story for two years and filming might start later this year.
Ranjith has now clarified speculations surrounding his
Hindi directorial debut
. Contrary to earlier reports suggesting a collaboration with Ranveer, Ranjith has revealed that the hero for his upcoming Hindi venture remains undecided.
“I am doing a film in Hindi but the hero has not been decided yet. It will be announced at the right time,” Ranjith told Hindustan Times.

While Ranjith continues to focus on his Hindi debut, he’s also busy with another project called
Thangalaan
, a movie with Vikram about freedom struggles in colonial times.
As for Ranveer, after his last movie Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani, he’s getting ready for Shaktiman and
Don
3. In Don 3, he’ll replace Shah Rukh Khan as Don and star alongside
Kiara Advani
. There’s talk that Priyanka Chopra might return too, but there’s no confirmation yet.
