Ahead of Telangana elections, state IT Minister KT Rama Rao, a BRS leader, rejected Congress’s bid to govern and criticized Rahul Gandhi, stating, “Rahul’s public meetings draw fewer attendees than ours. Congress has been rejected before; they have no chance here.” He dismissed Congress’s guarantees, saying, “They can’t guarantee their own leadership, only chaos.” Rao claimed Congress copied their successful policies. He highlighted Telangana’s welfare programs and warned against misleading voters in a state already making progress.
