Radhika shared insights with Vogue, as to why they chose Jamnagar as the venue for their festivities. She explained that it was a way to honor their roots and the family’s legacy, as they spend most of their time there. Jamnagar holds a special place in their hearts, being the place where Anant works and where they find solace away from city life. Additionally, it’s where Anant’s grandmother, Kokilaben, was born, making it their “karma bhoomi,” or land of duty.
The elaborate celebration was meticulously planned in just three months by Anant’s mother, Nita Ambani, and renowned designer Manish Malhotra, who served as the creative director. Radhika revealed that one of her outfits included a dupatta that took six months to make, crafted by Manish Malhotra himself. She also mentioned that her veil for another outfit was made in Banaras using real gold threads.
During the festivities, the couple legally signed their wedding papers in front of 1,500 guests. The event was attended by international dignitaries like Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg, adding to the grandeur of the occasion. Even after the star-studded celebrations, the Ambanis organized another concert for the people of Jamnagar, featuring performances by Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh, Arijit Singh, and more. This gesture highlighted the couple’s commitment to sharing their joyous occasion with their community.
Anant and Radhika are set to tie the knot in July, marking the beginning of a new chapter in their lives.
