JAMMU:
Security forces
on Sunday busted a
terror hideout
and recovered seven
improvised explosive devices
(
IEDs
) and wireless set in Surankote area of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the official sources, a joint team of Police and 16 RR of Army acted on a tip off and launched a search operation in Dara Sangla area of Zairat Peer Tandola in Surankote of Poonch.
“All the 07 IEDs alongwith the wireless recovered from hideout were safely taken out of the area while the area was cordoned, sources added.
Earlier on Saturday , the joint team of J&K Police and CRPF had recovered rusted explosives including two grenades and bullets from village Chowkian of tehsil Darhal of Rajouri district during a search operation.
