PUNE: One person was detained for throwing Bhandara (dried turmeric powder) on dairy development minister and
Solapur
‘s guardian minister
Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil
, on Friday.
The incident took place at
government circuit house
in Solapur, and the person was identified as Shankar Bangale.
After throwing turmeric powder, Bangale demanded ST status for
Dhangar community
and no alteration in the OBC quota as Maratha’s demanding reservation through OBC quota.
However, after the incident, Vikhe-Patil said that he considers Bhandara as ‘ashirwad’ and asked the police not to file a case against the Bangale.
Bangale was also thrashed by those present and later he was frisked away by cops.
