The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released a reserve list for the Civil Services Mains Examination (CSE Mains) 2023, as requested by the Department of Personnel and Training. According to the notice, UPSC has recommended 120 candidates—88 from the General category, 5 from EWS, 23 from OBC, 3 from SC, and 1 from ST—to fill the remaining posts based on the Civil Services Examination. The names and roll numbers of these newly recommended candidates are available on the official website. Candidates can visit

The official notice reads, ‘As sought by the Department of Personnel & Training, the Commission has now recommended 120 candidates which include 88 General, 05EWS, 23 OBC, 03 SC and 01 ST, to fill up the remaining posts based on the Civil Services Examination, 2023. The candidates, so recommended, will be intimated directly by the DOP&T.’

UPSC declared the CSE 2023 result on April 16, 2024. At that time, the commission recommended 1,016 candidates for appointment to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and some other central services and group A, group B vacancies.
