Recalling the aftermath of their meeting, Garcetti disclosed that his colleagues were astounded, questioning if he comprehended the significance of meeting Shah Rukh Khan, also known as SRK. Reflecting on their conversation, Garcetti mentioned discussing cricket, given Shah Rukh’s ownership of the IPL team KKR, during their initial interaction. He reminisced, ‘Everybody in my office went nuts. They were like, ‘Oh my God, did you know who you met?’ I said, ‘Yeah, Shah Rukh Khan.’ But I didn’t realize the level of love that there was across the country for Shah Rukh.’
