Both the batters celebrated their landmarks soaking in the applause from the Indian dressing room and the spectators at the picturesque stadium flanked by the Dhauladhar mountain range.

India were dominant in the first session and that got England scrambling.
Rohit and Gill put India firmly in control of proceedings. Riding high on a wave of dominance, India asserted their authority without losing a wicket in the session, amassing a formidable total of 264 runs for the loss of just one wicket, seizing a commanding lead of 46 runs.
Rohit, continuing his imperious form, etched his name into the annals of cricketing history with yet another century, his blade a symphony of elegance and power to remain unbeaten on 102 at lunch.
Gill, equally resplendent, showcased his prodigious talent with a scintillating century of his own, his strokeplay a testament to his burgeoning prowess at the crease, with the duo stitching together a formidable partnership.
The English bowlers toiled tirelessly, their efforts hampered by a placid surface that offered little assistance. Despite their perseverance, the Indian batters remained resolute, showcasing their class and skill with a breathtaking array of strokes that left the crowd enraptured and the English camp reeling.
But England were relieved as both Rohit (103( and Gill (110) were dismissed soon after lunch.
