HYDERABAD: Two sales executives of a well-known real estate firm here were arrested Wednesday for allegedly drugging, raping and beating their 26-year-old colleague for hours inside a car on the night of June 30. The
colleagues
left the woman outside a private hostel in Miyapur after the crime, police said. The accused, identified as Sanga Reddy (39) and Janardhan Reddy (25), were sent in judicial custody on Wednesday.
While a zero FIR was initially filed at Uppal police station based on a complaint by the survivor, the case was subsequently transferred to Miyapur police station as the crime occurred under the latter’s jurisdiction.
The accused have been booked under IPC sections 376 (
rape
), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 509 (insulting modesty of woman) and 420 (cheating), Miyapur SHO V Durga Rama Linga Prasad said. “The survivor has been sent for medical examination,” he added.
