X rolls out long-from content Articles for premium users: Here’s what it is and how to create one

X

, the social media platform formerly known as

Twitter

has announced a new feature called Articles. “It is a new way to write and share long-form content with your followers on X,” said the company.
The Articles feature is available only for Premium+ users. For those unaware, the Premium+ plan of X includes all Premium features with additional benefits like no ads in the For You and Following timelines, largest reply prioritisation, Articles.
The Articles feature on X offers a straightforward text-editing interface that includes embedded media and various text formatting options, such as the capability to create bulleted lists.

Additionally, it seems that articles can exceed the 25,000-character limit.
How to compose an Article

To initiate the writing process for an Article, users can access the Article Composer by choosing the ‘Articles’ option from the sidebar on the web version of X. Within the composer, users are presented with a range of formatting options to tailor their content. These options encompass the ability to apply formatting such as bold, italic, or strikethrough to text, alongside the capability to generate bulleted lists and numbered lists. Moreover, users can enhance the Article’s appeal by incorporating images and videos.

Once published, Articles will appear on your profile in a new Articles tab and in your followers’ timeline, just like regular X posts. Long-form content will be easily recognisable through a distinctive icon and layout, guaranteeing its prominence within the platform.
As mentioned above, the Articles feature of X is available for Premium+ users and verified organisations.
