Raj Kundra’s debut film ‘UT 69’ hit the theaters on November 3. The film is about the 63 days Raj Kundra had spent in Arthur Road jail after he was arrested in the pornography case. While his film is still struggling to attract cinegoers, Raj Kundra is busy promoting it on different platforms. Recently he held a live session on social media and revealed details about his jail experiences. Raj compared Salman Khan’s reality show to jail and said, ‘I was put in a common barrack. Jail is like a Bigg Boss house; people there have big egos, and you can’t act over-smart. It’s an experience I wouldn’t wish upon anyone. I’ll be sharing more of my experience from jail time in my film, UT69.’ Raj also revealed how he helped some inmates in getting bail after he walked out of the prison. He said, ‘In the time spent in jail, I learned the importance of food and water. I was struggling to get proper sleep; there was not a proper space to sleep. I met a few people who were struggling to get out of jail because they had no one to pay their bail. After that, with my legal team, I have also helped a few people to get out of jail who had nobody to bail them.’ He thanked his friends R Madhavan, Rohit Roy, Harman Baweja and his wife Shilpa Shetty for supporting him through his ‘ tough time’. He added, ‘My wife has been a hard rock support for me. There was a point in jail when I told her that if I had to live here for 10 days more, I’d come out in a box, but she gave me strength and power and told me that this time would go away and reminded me that what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. R Madhavan, Rohit Roy and Harman Baweja supported me during my tough time. They have been my confidantes and my best friends. True friends are the pillars that hold you up even in the darkest times.’ For more news and updates, stay tuned to ETimes.
