Govinda surprised everyone by attending his niece Arti Singh’s wedding in Mumbai. He made a grand entry in an all-black sherwani, smiling broadly. Fans who missed him at pre-wedding ceremonies were delighted to see him there. However, some began trolling him for his ‘guest appearance’. Many targeted Govinda’s wife, Sunita Ahuja, labeling her as ‘arrogant and negative’. Some of the comments read, ‘Hamare yaha toh mamaji shadi ka aadha se jyada kaam sambhalte hai.. aur yaha guest appearance.. it’s their choice’, ‘Shukar he at the end listened to his heart and attended the wedding. His wife is so dominant and negative’ and ‘Mami tab bhi nhi aayi.’ Govinda has had a strained relationship with his nephew, Krushna Abhishek, who is Arti’s brother. In 2018, Sunita reportedly criticised Krushna Abhishek’s wife, Kashmera, for a tweet about “people who dance for money,” believing it was targeted at Govinda. This fallout resulted in the family cutting ties with Kashmera and Krushna. Krushna later clarified that the tweet was about his sister, Arti Singh. Many celebrities including Comedian Kapil Sharma, Archana Puran Singh, Rajiv Thakur, actres Bipasha Basu and her husband Karan Singh Grover dazzled at Arti Singh and Deepak’s wedding on April 25 in Mumbai.
